Online singing lessons can be an amazing and convenient way to have a quality singing lesson. But there are some steps you wanna take to prepare so that you can get the most out of your singing lessons possible.

If you follow these steps before your first lesson, you will avoid unnecessary frustration and tech problems as you go into paid lesson time.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

While Skype is my preferred platform for doing online singing lessons, there are two important parts to complete before having your first singing lesson: logging into your account, and adjusting your sound settings.

If you haven't created an account on Skype yet, it can take a few minutes. Also, if you haven't logged into your Skype account for a while, Skype sometimes requires a re-confirmation process that can take a few extra minutes as well. If you take the time in advance to create an account and to log into it properly, it will save you a frustrating headache!

The other important thing to know about Skype is how to adjust your sound settings. Most online communication platforms have a noise cancellation feature that can be helpful for most meetings and interactions, but in a singing lesson you need to have access to a greater range of sound frequencies. Knowing how to adjust the sound settings for the highest quality lesson possible is vitally important.
